Galleria Style & Auto, exposition and sales

The former factory of Douwe Egberts, Holland’s foremost coffee and tobacco producers, houses from October 2003 on the collection of cars and other activities of the former Automuseum Deventer. A wonderful building on the waterfront of the harbour of Joure, a most charming town in the middle of Holland’s beautiful lake disctict, Friesland. Jan Bruijn and Fransje Versloot are your host and will be pleased to show you around.
Sales
Part of the collection of very rare cars is for sale, the others are for exposition only. The collection has been brought together with design in mind, therefore you can enjoy creations of Henri Chapron, Touring, Vignale, Pinin Farina, Letourneur & Marchand but also early work from Belvalette and Rothschild.
From the period of 1895 - 1965 famous makes are represented such as Delaunay Belleville, Rolls Royce, Hispano Suiza, Bugatti, Alfa Romeo, Delahaye and Talbot Lago to name a few.

While cars are for sale it garantuees a regular change of cars, all the more interesting to pay a frequent visit. The Galleria also organises twice a year a special exhibition once again focussed on design or a designer.
Above all the love for cars is essential, and that means not only expensive cars are on sale, but one-off’s in quality or rarety.
Sale on commission is also possible, but not every car will be accepted.
Library
In the middle of the old building a separate office now forms the library. It houses the personal collection of Jan Bruijn. On request visitors can use and see the documentation. Copies can be made in special cases, expenses will be charged.
Automobilia
Besides the collection of cars there is vast collection of car related items. Posters, designdrawings, catalogues, brass lamps etc. Also from this collection some items are for sale.

Parts
A large number of special car parts is available. For detailed information please press the parts for sale button.
Accomodation
The Galleria can be used for special occasions or events (seminars, corporate presentations, rally’s, dinners and dancing) by groups up to 200 quests. On request we can give various possibilities.
Studio Fransje Versloot
On the first floor the paintings of Fransje Versloot (www.fransjeversloot.nl) are shown. The studio is open for public, but visits are by appointment only. It is also possible to participate in a painting-workshop. A painting-workshop can be a part of an overall day-program in combination with the Galleria.
