This famous Stutz was specialy built for Addison Brown, some rumours say by the factory. Addison Brown, a whealthy miner and brother of the californian Stutz distributor, colected all kinds of fast machinery, including some racing Mercedes cars and many Stutz Bearcats in the twenties. This Stutz was converted for him by cutting the standard 120' wheelbase to 111'. The engine was brought back in the chassis frame and the bonnet was made longer to suit the new engine compartment. As a result is here one of the fastest and well balanced Stutz Bearcats of all. The car was restored by the well known Colin Crabbe and resided in his personal collection for more than 15 years.
